Small thinking

Small thinking is playing it safe, it's often what feels comfortable, so we settle for ideas that whisper instead of roar. It’s the kind of thinking that avoids reinvention, stifles creativity, and guarantees we stay invisible. The big challenges aren’t scary, safe limited thinking is.

Bold, not reckless

Being bold doesn’t mean throwing caution out the window. It means using insight, strategy, and a little nerve to utilize ideas that actually work. Bold ideas grab attention, provoke thought, they shift the game because they’re backed by reasoning, not bravado.

Opportunities

The ideas that feel weird at first are usually the ones people remember. Weird isn’t random—it’s the familiar, reframed in ways that make it relevant, engaging, and impossible to ignore. Stand out by twisting expectation, not abandoning sense.

SELECTED WORK

Big challenges aren’t scary, small ideas are. So be brave, get weird, and enjoy the shift.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’ve always had a passion for monstrous business problems—the messy, risky, intimidating kind. Playing it safe has never really been my thing; I’d rather build something bold that might topple than something forgettable that never moves at all.

What I’ve learned is this: design on its own is never enough. Without strategy, it’s like eating ice cream without the cone—you’ll enjoy it for a moment, but it melts fast and slips through your fingers. Beautiful work that doesn’t last isn’t the goal.

That’s why I treat branding like music: rhythm, timing, and all the pieces working together to make something unforgettable. With 20+ years as a designer, creative director, and strategist, my focus has stayed the same—create bold, beautiful work built on solid strategy. Because when brands fail, it’s rarely because they weren’t pretty enough.

They Like Me!

"I've known Michelle for the better part of a decade. She's a master of brand identity, campaign concepts, and digital development. I've learned that when
I need the highest level of design strategy and aesthetic, or I'm struggling to find the right tone of voice for my messaging, I always go to Mish.
Love what she's done for DeWolf Experiences and VinoMare."
